January is Glaucoma Awareness Month
Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness in the U.S. It affects around 3 million American. Glaucoma occurs when the eye can not drain fluid, causing pressure in the eye and damage to the optic nerve. When the optic nerve is damaged it can cause vision loss and even blindness. January is Glaucoma Awareness month, it is important to get your yearly comprehensive eye exam to check for signs of glaucoma.

- Family history of glaucoma
- Over the age of 60
